So The Evangelical Endorsed POTUS Is Pimping A Chinese Escort Service — So What? Who Cares?

What happens when an unscrupulous businessman captures the most powerful position in the free world? His businesses benefit “bigly.”

The Associated Press is reporting that Trump’s business has been granted preliminary approval for 38 new trademarks associated with the Trump name for a plethora of businesses “from hotels to insurance to bodyguard and escort services.” Escort services!

So, the President of the United States, who happened to run on the political ticket which appealed to the Evangelical Christians who are super-duper, anti-sex, wants to be an international pimp daddy. What’s the big deal?

Ok, so that is kind of a big deal. But, an even bigger one is the possibility that Donald Trump’s businesses may be receiving special treatment because he is the President of the United States, which is a violation of the U.S. Constitution.

Director at Simone IP Services in Hong Kong Dan Plane told reporters:

For all these marks to sail through so quickly and cleanly, with no similar marks, no identical marks, no issues with specifications — boy, it’s weird.

Richard Painter, who is an attorney currently involved in a lawsuit against Trump regarding his foreign business ties (and also Dubya’s chief ethics lawyer) told the press:

A routine trademark, patent, or copyright from a foreign government is likely not an unconstitutional emolument, but with so many trademarks being granted over such a short time period, the question arises as to whether there is an accommodation in at least some of them.
